Each team has a grade depending on the taken place. The grade can be counted with the formula: N+1-n. Where N-is the number of teams in the championship, n-is the team’s place.
Depending on the team which is leading during the match, let’s divide the grades. For example during the game Birmingham – Wigan the favorite is the host, divide the guest’s grade on the host’s grade: 6/7=0.857. In the match Derby – Everton the guest is the favorite so we divide the host’s grade on the guest’s grade: 2/10=0.2.
Let’s determine the biggest result after dividing. In our case it’s the biggest in the match Bolton – Aston Villa and is 12. We divide this number 12 on the results of the dividing grades of other matches. The numbers we get give the rates on the winning of the favorites.
This chart is tested during all the football championships and gives great results if you count from the fifth round to the round N-4. For England it is 38-4=34.
